Ohaiyo~!

Has been a rather great weekend.

Last night for bonfire night... aka guy fawkes night.

Went down to the beach for the fireworks display. It was not as long as last year where it went on for about half and hour. this time round it was only about twenty minutes long.

but they had rather interesting fireworks this year. noisy fireworks @ they squealed and howled and whistled as they went up into the sky. hehe quite cute.
And as usual there were they trinkly start like ones, the blue and purple bursts...the rockets.
quite splendid indeed.

went and watched the fireworks with claire ( course mate) and her ex flat mates. On the way back we stopped for fish and chips at the bluebird. Once again i have to reaffirm this but streetside fish and chips beats the hell out of any other fish and chip even if it comes from some 5 star hotel.

The greasy fried batter. The thick chunks of potatoes all drenched in salt and vinegar...that's the greatest. and the huge slab of FRESH HADDOCK.... seriously it's fresh and succulent. even better than the fish u get in the supermarket. And it's huge like a whole fillet off the back of the fish. and all for 3.90 pounds. yeah it's kinda ex if u do the conversion but man is it worth it.

yeah...when i got home, poor angela who had missed he fireworks to wait for her beau David, was sitting on the couch reading Da Vinci Code, but then the best thing happened, the courtyard across our kitchen started putting out their own fireworks. WOW!!! A fireworks display right outside our window...and we could enjoy it in the comfort and warmth of our own living room.
how grand is that?!

yeah..and after that because david had decided not to turn up that evening. we spent the rest of it discussing Da vinci and the stupid americans and on how red heads BURN (literally) under the sun.
haha...

yeah so that's about it. On Friday when I went and clerked a patient, I got this really lovely 91 year old gramps. so cute and friendly...told me great stories of the sea and shipping disasters and his strong and impressive mam who looked after 8 children when their dad died at sea when he was 5.

oh yeah and on an ending note ... I've started to say 'Aye' in response to most things that are said to me...oh no....i'm turning scots. and the other day when i went for a cell group meeting with my friend...the australian pple there said that i was getting a scottish accent.....

dun noe to be glad or distraught about it... haha

cheers!
