hi everyone!
okie...i noe i was supposed to have done updates and such, seeing that i'm back home and should have ample time on my hands...but well with the influx of anime and my
regained personal internet and the powers of torrents .... hey! need I say more really.

Well anyway, here is the long awaited update on the 3 days 2 night stay I had in glasgow.
Well...technically, I was staying at dana's flat in Paisley which is a little town just out of glasgow.
Yeah so it's actually liz's flat but dana stays there during the hols and when she goes to glasgow on weekends.
it's a really cool flat. lovely fixtures and it has a bath!!!!
and the most interesting inhabitant of that place is Easter.
Yes! General warning for all permanent and temporary inhabitants of that flat:
DO NOT WEAR DARK COLOURED CLOTHES!!!
yes...welcome to the domain of Easter --- THE EVIL FUR SHEDDING MACHINE
Easter is a typical British cat. Fat, Furry and SPOILT.
haha...but she's a really nice cute fuzzy kit. Though utterly spoilt and she sheds a ton of fur.
twentyfour seven.

yeah so anyway, on the first night i was there, we went into glasgow,
and attended a pubquiz with a whole hoard of dana's friends.
Man! they sure do take pubquizzes very seriously. to me it seemed as though they activated an entire troop of people with various specialities on general info and such.
haha...but it was really fun.

The next day we decided to explore paisley's sights.
yes! although paisley is a tiny town, it actually has got a tourist information centre.
so yes me dana and liz's cousin, Laura from Australia. went down to the TIC, like
a bunch of tourist and asked about the sights that we could see in paisley.
And we found a very interesting piece of information: Most of the tourist attraction sites in Paisley are closed on Mondays.
and lo and behold it was a monday when we decided to go sightseeing in paisley.
But well, we made do with the fact and went to see Paisley Abbey, which has got one of the most amazing and wonderful stained glass window collection, with very nice interiors and a very nice pastor.
we had tea at the quaint abbey cafe and then we headed off to Glenteneriffe Country Park
The park is wonderful. Really a little slice of heaven in a tiny town.
we hiked up the hill and found this perfect vantage point where we could see the whole of paisley and glasgow in the distance.
We then went through some foresty area and found the waterfall...it wasn't exactly that stupendously big but it was very nice and elegant, with a stream that meandered through the forest.
we went out of the forest and went down to the reservoir side and had lunch of the prebought sandwiches and drinks we had. It was simply lovely.
After the country park, we went and visited Shauna, Dana's fren who is simply the sweetest and loveliest person.
That evening we went and watched Sin City. ok, to give you an idea on how small Paisley is: We had to make a 15 minute drive to Lynwood to catch the movie.
Right about Sin City, to me it's a must watch. Well, that is if it even makes it to the screen's in Singapore. haha...that should give u a rough idea on what kinda show it is.

right so on my last day in glasgow, we went back into glasgow
and we visited the glasgow central museum where they had some interesting exhibitions.
mainly about women rights and stuff like that. interesting displays and contents.
after that we went to Glasgow Cathedral which was another splendid cathedral and it had
splendid architecture and it also held St. Mungo's crpyt and casket, which was
underground. Very mystical, very ethreal, very educational. loved it.
We then went to St Mungo's museum, which held mostly religious artifacts and artwork.
There was even a painting done by Salvador Dali! On the crucifixion of Christ.
The most saddening thing about the painting was that it was damaged.
Defacing such a beautiful piece of artwork should be condemned. it's sacrilegious.
Sigh...the disappointment and heartache felt on seeing the destruction of a once perfect piece of work. It was heartwrenching.

Well after the museums and such we went to the train station so that I could catch the train back to Aberdeen.
It was a lovely trip and I sure do look forward to going back.
