TOday is a free day.
And I'm spending it with dead people again...
Well, it's not too bad really, more productive that way.
The bed is just way to cozy on a day like this.
Right update on what's happened in the past 24 hours.
Last evening went out for dinner with the girls:#
Fatimah, Michelle, Adrianne, Laura, Me and Gemma
There were supposed to be guys and some other friends but they
bailed out to spend more time preparing for a night out at Liquid.
Dinner was to be at Monkey House.( nice establishment, has both a restaurant
and bar incorporated in. Quite classy. Nice setting. MedSoc members come here
because we get 20% off and other priveleges. ~sweet~)
Right, so I was back from anatomy by 5.20pm and was busy
stomping and shuffling around my room trying to get my camera batt charged,
scanning past year papers, choosing outfit, makeup etc.
When I hear Noura wandering the halls going
'' I think I cut myself very deeply.....*laughter* (repeat) ''
Now, our little Noura likes attention and can tell a good story
so I had no idea whether she was truly bleeding to death
SO I came out of my room and asked her '''Where?''
And she shows me this disgustingly slit thumb, and she's like oozing everywhere
my goodness...it still makes me cringe.
So basically all of us went into action, some moaning,
Noura laughing ( I think she was in shock or something, I would be if I cut myself
preparing TOAST!!! *dun ask me how she did it*)
Dana going to the shop to buy chocolate, and the rest piling on
weird remedies. SO.... in the end I was like ''Right! Noura sit in the corner, apply pressure, the rest of you continue to prepare your tea (dinner)''
I went to my room, got bandages and some antiseptic cream, left it on the
dining table and told Noura that she could apply them when she was no longer
spouting blood and went back to my preparations.
Yeah, and she was fine after 10 minutes and managed to lend me her eye-liner.
Right, so got ready and took the quarter to 8 bus into town.
Our table was booked for 8...haha...talk about being on time.
Well, we managed to get ther on time well enough
SO we chatted and ordered. I got myself a plate of haddock
We also ordered a bottle of wine, Veramonte Sauvignon Blanc,
student's wine really haha....much to oaky with too much blended in it
for my taste but still, it was only £14.
Took photos, discussed weddings ( i don't know how we got there )
and then it was DESSERT time.
I have only a few words to say about this...
'' STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING WITH CREAM AND VANILLA ICE-CREAM''
My goodness....we basically floated away on a cloud of diabetic ecstasy.
NO wonder they say that the Scots have the Worst Diet in the world.
