Sadness.....
My new family is disappearing one by one....
3 have gone yesterday, 1 this morning, 1 tomorrow morning
and then it will only be me.
one lonely sunday night before the madness of lugging
luggage to the airport and getting myself and my stuff safely onto the plane.
On thursday we had a flat christmas dinner.
It was a wonderful 3 course dinner with wine and crackers
held in our little kitchen filled with fairy lights and bathed in
a warm scented candle glow.
The dinner was made with lotsa love, sweat and other stuff.
First course was soup and bread rolls.
2nd course was the main course so we had turkey, nut roast, yorkshire pudding, sausage and baacon, bread sauce, stuffing, mash potatoes, parsnips, and grilled potatoes....all topped with rich gravy sauce.
definitely the most christmassy dinner i've had my entire life.
It sounds like it popped right out of a fairy tale.
Last course was desert, which was some biscuit based chocolate cream thingy stuffed with chocolate minstrels.
Sigh....
I'm gonna miss the whole noisy bunch of them.
