HELP! We've been 'MOLESTED' during surface anatomy class!!!!
Haha....chill.....
Well, today has been a really fun day, and surprisingly
I attribute it to a superb surface anatomy
tutorial class today.
So...surface anatomy class is basically
a class which we go to every friday during our practical
anatomy slot to study about features of the
various regions in the body which can be palpated under the skin.
REally interesting class...but...
TOday it was particularly interesting.
because we were examining....
The THORACIC region....
*naughty laughter*
Things learnt today besides knowing how to count and feel for ribs
and listen to heart beats, respiratory sounds and valve sounds during
the cardiac cycle:
Man do have BREASTS.
Exhibit A: We were learning about parietal and visceral
linings of the pleura of the lungs, so the tutor was viciously pushing
for one of the guys in my class to come forward and take
off his shirt so that we could doodle on his body.
Haha...fun aint it...
So at first the shy creatures decided that
they were uncomfortable taking off their shirts and
baring all. So we dejectedly turned to tracing and feeling ribs with our
fingers.
WEll, that was all well and good when we were tracing on our
own bodies, BUT, we had taht quirky tutor, and she
decided that we oughta feel on each other.
So of we went in pairs. Thank GOD I got a girl partner.
Some girls were unfortunate. Some guys were very fortunate.
And the guys who paired up with each other....
well, they were questionable.
BUT...the real questionable bit arrived when problems occurred in the
visualisation of the pleura, so finally
one of the guys valiantly volunteered to strip and
be drawn on.
He was truly valiant.
My goodness he had BREASTs.
True breasts. Perky, pointy ones.
We couldn't help ourselves, we all started laughing.
But he was a good sport and allowed us to manipulate
him and doodle upon him.
BUT I must admit it was rather disturbing to note
the curious, and questionable positions his male counterparts
manipulated him into when they were drawing on him.
Hmm....did they really need him to bend over, just to draw upon his back?
Hmm.......
End of lesson.
