Hiez...today just consisted of sleeping and eating.

After having endured going through 48 hours with only five hours of sleep I finally, conked off at 6 am yesterday morning and remained dead for the next 11 hours. Sigh... eternal rest. Was literally dying for it yester morning.

So anyways, I woke at around 5 pm this afternoon and had to get ready for dinner with Deborah and her dad at Hyatt(Deb's my tutee for GP). Midway through preparations received a call from Rach, haha, if it hadn't been for dinner I would have been at an SYO concert cheering on me pals! ( So Rach how did it go? It was great to hear from you anyways. )

Well, so met up with Deb and her dad at around 6.45 pm as planned. (I was early...for once). Mr Wee is a dapper old man, with old and refined manners and etiquette of a gentleman from the west. Had to remember all the rules of proper dinner etiquette my mum put me through years ago for tonight. I guess it's kinda strange after having interacted with JC boys , to have a guy actually stand up each time you excuse yourself from the table and help you with your chair. Haha...but I enjoyed being treated like a lady. ( which of you ladies wouldn't want to be treated so?)
YUp, so like a proper host and gentleman, he led me throughout the buffet layout, soups, appetizers, main course etc. Haha...another strange experience. Well, the spread was good, the prawns and oysters were fresh, clean and succulent. The beef was done just right, the salad spread was delectable and the deserts....YUMMY. Actually the only disgusting item was surprisingly the ice-cream. pistachios should not be made into a flavour for ice-cream: it has such a medicinal taste....bleargh!

Haha....so I suppose the most interesting thing about the evening was the conversation. Nope actaully another interesting thing about the evening was when outta nowhere a waiter came bearing a mud pie choc cake with a candle stuck in it! Geez....it was Deb's birthday and I was there without a present. Man....at least drop a couple of hintz...*sigh* nvm, i'll get her a belated gift on friday (tuition day).

Yup, so back to the conversation. I'm impressed. Here is this old guy, who has concepts and opinions on many matters that are similar to mine. The world is truly small. Thankfully, all three of us were on the same side politically. haha...not gonna tell u which side that would be. But I must say that the evening was truly, educational and fruitful. Sigh...it's really rare that people are open minded, and willing to talk about personal matters and be critical about politics and business. haha...it was also quite fun when we had to cast furtive looks around us before we began a discussion. Hey...we are after all very considerate when discussing 'sensitive' issues.

yeah..so yak yak yak, all the way till 1.20 am. I'm amazed by this record. My bladder was absolutely bursting by the time we finished. Haha...the staff were probably wondering 'when are these conspirators gonna leave?!'

Yup so that was the end of a rather successful night I must say. Yes! Two great nights in a row!!! We're on a roll!

Cheers!
