At the end of a rather eventful day...
Went to RJC to help out with the kids from hariprasad as they went to school to help those poor organisers and AA (attract attention) freaks to earn CIP points. Man...They didn't realli have no idea or plan to follow and well in the end it was kinda like wat we always did at the centre...we just did wat the kids wanted to do. Well after this experience all i can say is that interact club and council are still as useless as ever.
Went to Holland V next to have lunch with Janise and shop for beads. Introduced her to the fruit smoothies. Particularly like today's choice of honey dew and Strawberry juice, it was of greater volume and more zest in taste.
Well then returned home to prepare for the evening's D&D (dinner and dance). My mum's ministry, MFA was holding their annual D&D at Swissotel at Raffles City. Theme: WILD WILD WEST. At first I tot, man...how wild can a bunch of old fogeys, directors and ambassadors and ministers be? Well..guess i was wrong there. I think i had more fun and it was more exciting then my own prom. Minister for foreign affairs S Jayakumar, and second minister Lee yock suan were there as guests of honour. But there were other ministers too as well. So everyone was dressed up to the nice in authentic cowboy suits and american indian costumes. Quite cool. But I think the coolest was after everything when they put on the music and a whole bevy of old fogeys in the ministry's line dance group took the floor and literally danced the night away.
On and on...a couple of glasses of wine and beer and everyone was high and ready to go...after the country folk songs came the 
hip and funky clubbing songs! The lucky draws and prizes were also ultra nice...tho we din win anything. Different consulates from all around the world donated the prizes and they were authentic traditional crafts and specialities from the diferent countries so it was cool. The food was rather okie tho..nothing fantastic. But kinda glad i managed to chat with the other ladies at the table though they were like 20 or 30 years older than me.....Nice nite....
Rite...so back home after dropping a few of the ladies home. Gonna sleep soon...kinda inundated with wine.
